Office of Investments
The Office of Investments (OI) is a team of investment professionals with diverse backgrounds, whose primary objective is to invest endowed assets in a manner that:
- Preserves their purchasing power.
- Generates an income stream that is able to support the university’s and associated entities’ spending needs for their operating budgets and various mission-driven initiatives.
The Office of Investments is responsible for the governance, manager selection and investing of the university’s and associated entities’ endowments, as well as their short- to intermediate-term cash funds. These responsibilities include:
- Identifying and recommending new investment managers and opportunities
- Evaluating the performance of investment managers
- Monitoring portfolios
- Recommending additional allocations to or withdrawals from such managers
